Preface

P.1 Purpose

This manual sets forth safety and health policy and procedures and instructions for the Ames community in an effort to prevent injury an illness in the workplace.

P.2 Applicability

These chapters are applicable to all Ames employees, to all work conducted under the authority of Ames, and to all equipment and property managed by Ames. For Ames contractors, it is applicable through contract clauses in conformance with NASA procurement Regulation (Part 1, Subpart 52 and Part 14, Subpart 6). Non-Ames and non-contractor personnel will follow the provisions of this chapter while at Ames facilities.
